Own Boat Training

While we are very happy to provide training on our boats, we are also delighted to offer Training on your boat - on your home waters.

Focused on your boat - whether outboard, outdrive or shaft drive, petrol or diesel fuelled. Single engines or twin. With so many different configurations - centre cockpit, aft cockpit, raised helmsman's position, or forward. Broad beam or narrow beam, wheel steering or Tiller.

We can tailor the Course to meet your own needs, and local conditions.

We will also assist if you would like to move to a new cruising area. Sometimes this can involve a short coastal passage (or possibly even across the Channel or North Sea). We can cover chartwork, passage planning and the skills necessary for such a trip: and perhaps a reassuring presence on the boat with you.

There are many sea going boats on our Inland Waterways, and they often need careful handling as they have powerful engines needing particular techniques for safe and easy handling at close quarters.

Large or small, new or classic: whatever!
