VHF-SRC - the VHF Short Range Certificate
If you have a VHF Marine Radio on your boat, then you need both a Ships Licence from OFCOM - (http://licensing.ofcom.org.uk/radiocommunication-licences/ships-radio/), and also an Operators Licence.
Once gained the Operators Licence is valid and recognised across the Globe, and you will be able to take full advantage of the safety and convenience of Marine Radio.
We offer the RYA VHF-SRC One Day Course, including a short written assessment and plenty of practise using current ICOM Training Radios - specially adapted so we do not launch air sea rescue helicopters and Lifeboats when we send Distress Messages!
We run these Courses monthly, usually at Overstrand (Cromer), but if you have 3 or more people wishing to take the Course we can come to you.

The VHF-SRC Course currently costs £125.00 per person, including a copy of the RYA VHF-SRC Book, and the £30 RYA Licence issue fee.
